Every Butt Buffer cushion is made from a dry visco-elastic polymer that was originally developed for hospital use to help prevent bed sores. Price depends on style and size, not on the material. Classic Top Cushions are our lowest-priced line, from $27.75 to $53.75. Air Flow Classic costs $72.50 to $107.50 and is built for better air flow. Pebble Polymer costs $87.50 to $122.50 and adds a Pebble Polymer surface. At each size, Pebble Polymer is $15.00 above Air Flow.

When does a seat insert make sense instead of a top cushion?

A top cushion sits on your seat and costs $27.75 to $130.00, depending on style and size. An insert is installed inside your seat. We install Medium and Large inserts together for $260.00. Choose an insert when you want the polymer built into the seat itself.

We offer a full set of insert combinations: Small, Medium, Large, P-pad, and combined sets such as P-pad with Small, Medium, or Large inserts. Medium and Large inserts are also available front and rear. Prices for the other combinations are listed on the product pages in our shop.

An insert suits you if you ride the same bike for years and want the seat itself rebuilt for comfort. A top cushion suits you if you want to move the cushion between bikes or start at a lower price.
